I started in photography back in high school. Having been interested in cinema for as long as I can remember, I saw Photography as a natural progression to satisfy my creative tendencies. Photography allowed me to create and tell a story visually as well as put a frame around something that already exists.  The ability to place a frame around something and decide what stays inside it and what doesn’t gives a sense of control and order, something that has inspired me ever since. I like to make images that are grounded in reality but are also interesting and visually engaging to the viewer. Whether it be work for and advertising client or my own personal assignments, I approach them the same way. I feel that even within a commercial environment, there is always an opportunity to create unique and original images. 

Over the last few years I have seen a my photography improve and my own style develop. Even if no one reads it, I hope to use this blog to keep a more accurate record of what I am doing now and the direction I am taking next. If you do read it, I hope you enjoy.
